With the other two Wigwam Villages, the itinerary is obvious because of their proximity to National Parks. With the Wigwam Village #7 in Rialto, California, the itinerary might not be so obvious. That doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do while you’re there. Here’s everything you need to know when visiting the Wigwam Village in Rialto, California!

About Rialto California

Rialto, California is a small town, just west of San Bernadino, and about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. It has a small town feel, but isn’t too far away from anything. At check in, the family who owns this motel location provided us with a list of things to do in the area so we always knew where we were headed next.

Where to Eat

If you’re looking for the familiar, Rialto has plenty of National chain restaurants to go around. If you find yourself craving some Denny’s, Burger King, or Little Caesars, Rialto will provide you with exactly what you’re looking for. But if you’re hoping to try some new, local eats, check out Chris’s Burgers, Brother’s Pizza, Mary Stewart’s Southern Soul Food or Corky’s Kitchen.

You gain even more dining options if you expand your radius to the nearby San Bernadino. Familiars include BJ’s Brewhouse (a personal favorite of mine, and something we don’t have back home yet!), Outback Steakhouse, Souplantation, or Olive Garden. Local eats include Claim Jumper, DJ Coffee Shop, Alfredo’s Pizza & Pasta, or P&G Burgers.

When we stayed here, we went even further out of town and checked out a place called Hangar 24 in Redlands, just on the other side of San Bernadino. While they don’t serve food at Hangar 24, they do always promise to have a food truck available. When we went, they even had adoptable dogs to play with!

Trying out new Breweries is something that we would put in the “things to do” category, but if your ideal day doesn’t consist of hanging out at Hangar 24, there are so many other things for you to check out in this area!

If you’re looking for family friendly options, you could go bowling at Brunswick Foothill Lanes, or go berry picking at Riley’s Farm. Jason and I went bowling and picked berries while we were in Rialto and had a blast!

If you’re up for checking out a museum, try driving into San Bernadino and seeing the Original McDonald’s Site and Museum. This is a collection of all things McDonalds right at the place where it all got started. If museums are your thing, there is also a San Bernadino History and Railroad Museum to check out.
